God Belongs First

We are told in Genesis that we are made in the Imago Dei—the very image of God. This is a structural, relational, and functional likeness that gives us unique worth and dignity. We were designed to mirror God’s character and participate in His rule over creation.

But what does it mean to live as an image-bearer in a world full of distractions and idols? The answer is found in Jesus’ “greatest commandment,” which He drew directly from Deuteronomy 6:5“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength”.

Putting God First isn’t a compartmentalized Sunday activity; it’s a holistic commitment that permeates every decision, thought, and interaction, from our quiet time to our workplace. When we love God with all we have, we begin to truly restore and live out the beautiful image in which we were created. This is our purpose: to put God First in our life with all our heart, soul, and strength, and reflect His love to a world that desperately needs it.
